Defendant was charged with purchasing an angling license while suspended, ORS 497.415(5); purchasing a salmon/steelhead tag while suspended, ORS 497.415(5); and resisting arrest, ORS 162.315. He moved for a judgment of acquittal on the pm-chasing an angling license charge, arguing that the state did not prove that he “purchased” an angling license while suspended.
