This was a condemnation proceeding instituted in the circuit court of Weakley county by petitioner, Kentucky-Tennessee Light & Power Company, who will hereinafter be referred to as petitioner, against O. R. Beard, a landowner of Weakley county, who will hereinafter be referred to as defendant, for the purpose of appropriating to the use of petitioner a right of way through a certain tract of land owned by defendant and located in the Eighth civil district of Weakley county.
