In the Second District Court of Bristol the defendant was convicted on a complaint under G. L. c. 90, § 24, as amended, charging that on August 19,1963, he operated a motor vehicle on a public way in Pall River while under the influence of intoxicating liquor. Upon appeal to the Superior Court the jury returned a verdict of ‘ ‘ Guilty. ’ ’
