Plaintiff Y. Thomas Shanahan filed this action in the Milwaukee County Circuit Court alleging that defendant WITI-TV, Inc., terminated his employment because of his age. Plaintiff’s complaint sought relief under three claims: the first claim, for violation of the Age Discrimination in Employment Act (ADEA) and the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA); the second claim, for violation of the Wisconsin Fair Employment Act, Wis.Stat. §§ 111.31-111.37 (WFEA); and the third claim, for wrongful discharge in tort and in breach of contract.
