The plaintiffs brought this action in their own behalf and that of about three hundred others, all residents and taxpayers of the defendant city, seeking a declaratory judgment that the entire grand list of property prepared by the assessors of the city for taxation purposes for the year 1935 was illegal and invalid and an injunction against the levy of a tax based upon it.
