This is an action to recover damages for personal injuries. The plaintiff in error, who will hereafter be called defendant, owned a large eight-story building in the city of Dallas, known as the Wilson Building, six stories of which were devoted to office rooms rented to persons having business with the public, the elevators, halls, and corridors of which were in the possession of and cleaned by defendant, through Temple, his manager, and a number of negro janitors and porters.
