This action was brought by Mrs. Lena P. Watson for the recovery of $1,000.00 and interest, upon a policy of fire insurance issued to her by the defendant, wherein she was the named assured. The policy, dated December 22, 1932, insured the plaintiff, among other things, for $1,000.00 against all direct loss and damage by fire resulting to household and kitchen furniture.
