Defendant John J. Snell, Jr. [hereinafter “Snell Jr.”] and his father, John J. Snell, Sr. [hereinafter “Snell Sr.”] are charged with operating an illegal gambling business in violation of 18 U.S.C. § 1955 (count II), conducting financial transactions involving the proceeds of illegal gambling activity in violation of 18 U.S.C. § 1956 (Counts III through VI) and conspiracy (Count I).
