Automobile mechanics in Texas enjoy a statutory lien allowing them to hold the customer’s 'vehicle until the' bill is’ paid. But to sell the vehicle to satisfy the account requires serving several notices, one of which has to be filed with, and then served by, the local tax assessór-colléctor’s office.
