MEMORANDUM OPINION

FARNAN, District Judge.

Currently pending is Digene Corporation’s (“Digene”) Motion For Leave to Amend Its Answer and Counterclaims (D.I.83). For the reasons discussed, the motion will be granted.

I. Factual Background

This is a patent infringement action brought by Plaintiff Enzo Life Sciences, Inc. (“Enzo”) against defendant Digene involving U.S. Patent No. 6,221,581B1 (the “’581 Patent”), issued on April 24, 2001.
