Approximately five years ago, Plaintiff Donald F. McBeth invested $5 million in a hedge fund called Spectra Opportunities Fund LLC (the “Spectra Fund” or “Fund”). Within ten months, the Fund had lost all of its assets — including McBeth’s entire investment.
