This case arises out of an eminent domain taking (the taking) by the Nantucket County Commissioners. The plaintiffs own property bordering on Front Street and Broadway in Siasconset in the County of Nantucket. They claim that the defendant Nantucket County Commissioners, by an Order of Layout and Taking dated June 5, 1997, and recorded at the Nantucket County Registry of Deeds on or about June 6, 1997, have diminished the fair market value of their property.
