This is a petition for the assessment of damages on account of the taking, by the respondent on May 3, 1933, of the petitioner’s land for the purpose of. a public park. The land taken comprised the middle strip of an approximately triangular piece located between the easterly side of Otis Street and Hingham Harbor. The petitioner’s land was bounded on the south by land of public trustees for the use in perpetuity of the inhabitants of the respondent as a bathing beach, playground and recreational center.
