In an action, inter alia, to recover damages for medical mal practice, etc., the defendant Moinuddin Ahmed appeals, as limited by his brief, from so much of an order of the Supreme Court, Orange County (Berry, J.), dated July 20, 2012, as denied his motion pursuant to CPLR 4404 (a) to set aside a jury verdict on the issue of liability in favor of the plaintiffs and for judgment as a matter of law or, alternatively, for a new trial.
