The State Bank of Henry Denhart & Company was engaged in a general banking business. On March 1, 1929, it made a loan of $1,000 to appellees, Lydia King and Edward Lehman, taking their note for that amount, payable on March 1, 1930. On April 1, 1930, $200 was paid upon the principal of said note, and the accrued interest paid to that date. On April 11, 1930, the bank was closed by the auditor of public accounts of the State of Illinois, and Bae C. Heiple appointed receiver.
