On February 13,1936, the State Bank of St. Charles filed in the circuit court of Kane county its complaint to foreclose two trust deeds and a quitclaim deed theretofore executed by James H. Burr and Annette Burr, his wife. The complaint alleged among other things that the first trust deed was executed by James H. Burr and Annette Burr on May 5, 1927, by which they conveyed to John W. Chaffee, as trustee, 240 acres of land in Kane county to secure the payment of $18,000 evidenced by several notes payable to the order of themselves…
