In this action, Plaintiff seeks to recover damages for the demolition of his buildings on India Street in Portland by the City of Portland. Plaintiff alleges, inter alia, that the demolition constituted a deprivation of due process under the United States and Maine Constitutions, a taking of property without just compensation under both Constitutions, a violation of 42 U.S.C. § 1983, and a trespass on his property in violation of 14 M.R.S.A. § 7562.
