SULLIVAN, Judge:

Appellant was tried by a general court-martial composed of officer and enlisted members at Marine Corps Recruit Depot, San Diego, California, during March and April 1992. Contrary to his pleas, he was found guilty of violating a general order, rape, and forcible anal sodomy, in violation of Articles 92, 120, and 125, Uniform Code of Military Justice, 10 USC §§ 892, 920, and 925, respectively. He was sentenced to a dishonorable discharge, confinement for 5 years, total forfeitures, and reduction to pay grade E-l. The convening authority approved the sentence…
