FERGUSON, Senior Judge:

The accused was convicted, contrary to his plea, of a single specification alleging that he “did, . . . wrongfully have in his possession 0.86 ounces, more or less, of marihuana,” at Ford Hood, Texas, in violation of Article 134, Uniform Code of Military Justice, 10 USC § 934. He was sentenced to a bad-conduct discharge and reduction to the grade of E-l. The Court of Military Review affirmed the findings of guilty but only so much of the sentence as provided for reduction to the grade of E-l. We granted review to consider the following issue raised…
