EVERETT, Chief Judge:
On February 2, 1979, a military judge sitting as a special court-martial at Makiminato Service Area, Okinawa, Japan, convicted appellant of stealing stereo component equipment and cassette tapes which belonged to another staff sergeant, in violation of Article 121, Uniform Code of Military Justice, 10 U.S.C. § 921. Law was sentenced to a bad-conduct discharge, confinement at hard labor for 2 months,' and reduction to the lowest enlisted grade.
