ITobbysville School District No. 88 and Cross Anchor School District No. 15 are both located in Cross Anchor township, Spartanburg County. In that township there are three voting places, Hobbysville, Cross Anchor, and Enoree. On or about October 1, 1925, certain residents of the Hobbysville District filed a petition with the County Board of Education for Spartanburg County, requesting the consolidation of that district with the Cross Anchor District.
