OPINION

DRAUGHN, Justice.

This case concerns a prospect concept for gas well development in Louisiana. A jury awarded damages to appellee, Dickinson Resources, Inc. (“DRI”), for fraud, negligence, gross negligence, breach of confidential relationship, misappropriation of a trade secret, and quantum meruit. Appellants, Unocal Corporation, Union Oil Company of California, and Union Exploration Corporation i/kja Union Exploration Partners, Ltd.
