2Per curiam

A jury found appellant Monte Ray Ross guilty of driving under the influence of intoxicating liquor, third offense, a felony. Our review of the record persuades us that Ross was denied a fair trial; we therefore reverse.

On November 6, 1988, Deputy Sheriff Phillip Bennett of the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Department received a citizen’s report of a possible accident.
