On June 4, 1992, Detective Norval Risenhoover (“Risenhoover”) of the North Las Vegas Police Department responded to a report of a dead body at -the Silver Nugget Camperland. Risenhoover entered a camping trailer and saw the body of a nude male stretched across the floor in the doorway between the bedroom and the bathroom. The man’s body had multiple stab wounds on the upper torso, head, and neck. An orange towel was draped over the face. It appeared that a struggle had taken place.
