LARIMER, District Judge.
Plaintiff, William Crenshaw, appearing pro se, commenced this action pursuant to 42 U.S.C. § 1983. Plaintiff, an inmate in the custody of the New York State Department of Correctional Services (“DOCS”) alleges that defendants, all of whom were at all relevant times employed by DOCS at Attica Correctional Facility (“Attica”), have violated his constitutional rights in a number, of respects, primarily by retaliating against plaintiff for having engaged in activity protected by the First Amendment.
