Judgment, Supreme Court, New York County, rendered November 10, 1972, convicting defendant of murder and attempted murder is affirmed. An order of this court has permitted two appellant briefs, by the defendant pro se and by counsel assigned for the appeal. With the proof at the trial sufficient for conviction, we are concerned only with the counsel’s argument that the defendant has been denied his constitutional right to an effective counsel by his irrational refusal to permit an appeal on the question of his competency, which is in turn linked to his irrational refusal on the trial' to…
