This case arises from the well-known Ponzi scheme operated by Bernard L. Ma-doff. Plaintiffs-Appellants Stanley Baer, Jesse L. Cohen, Alan Roth, Elaine Ruth Schaffer, and Lenore H. Schupak (“Appellants”) were customers of Bernard L. Ma-doff Investment Securities LLC (“BLMIS”).
