Plaintiff Gregory A. Lewis voluntarily resigned as a deputy sheriff with the Sheriffs Office of the City of Virginia Beach, Virginia (the “Sheriffs Office”). He subsequently filed this action pro se alleging, among other things, that the Sheriffs Office retaliated against him for filing a discrimination complaint and subjected him to a hostile work environment in violation of Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, 42 U.S.C. §§ 2000e et seq.
