W.C. Washington appeals his sentence imposed after he was convicted of failing to register as a predatory offender under Minnesota Statutes section 243.166, subdivision 5(a) (2016). Washington argues that the district court erroneously considered his 1996 third-degree criminal-sexual-assault conviction when calculating his criminal-history score because the conviction decayed during his commission of the instant continuing offense, but before the conclusion of the continuing offense.
