BONDY, District Judge.
These suits were brought to recover damages arising out of a collision in the harbor of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, between the British ship Romney and the American ship Monasses.
On November 26, 1920, at about 6:45 in the.morning, the Romney left her anchorage, about 600 feet westerly of the Green Wreck Buoy, in the upper bay of the harbor of Rio de Janeiro, and, after proceeding a short distance in a northeasterly, direction, ported gradually in an easy circle, keeping the buoy on her starboard side.
