This is the defendant’s appeal from his conviction of arson in the first degree in violation of *715General Statutes § 53a-lll (a) (l).1 Following a jury-trial and a guilty verdict, the trial court rendered judgment sentencing the defendant to fifteen years imprisonment, execution suspended after six years, and five years probation.
