The Tillman-Wichita Bridge Company, a corporation chartered under the laws of the state of Oklahoma, constructed a toll bridge across Red river, the north end of which was in Tillman county, Okl., and the south end in Wichita county, Tex. The bridge was finished in February, 1920, but was open for travel by wagons and teams in August, 1919. Ever since its completion it has been maintained and operated by the Tillman-Wichita Bridge Company and the Grandfield Bridge Company,- its successor and assignee, as a toll bridge for public travel.
