In this civil action, the Plaintiff, Brian Williams, alleges that the Defendant, State Farm Insurance Company (“State Farm”), denied his personal insurance protection benefits claims without cause or justification in violation of Mich. Comp. Laws § 500.3142. Subsequent to the filing of Williams’ complaint on August 31, 2010, State Farm filed an answer, along with its affirmative defenses, on September 24, 2010.
