I. INTRODUCTION
On September 30, 2011, plaintiff Kimberly Grant (“plaintiff’) filed the instant *1236putative class action against Unifund. CCR Partners (“Unifund CCR”) and Unifund Corp.. (collectively, “defendants”). Plaintiff asserts four claims for relief: (1) violation of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, 15 U.S.C. §§ 1692 et seq. (“FDCPA”); (2) abuse of process; (3) conversion; and (4) violation of Cal. Bus. & Prof.Code §§ 17200 et seq.
