Both sides seek to have this court overturn what the trial court has done after patiently bringing this lawsuit to judgment, the defendant claiming a perverse jury and numerous court errors that command a new trial, the plaintiff seeking to restore the substantially reduced items of damage in the original verdict. For purposes of our discussion we will first consider the conten tions of the defendant and then the claims of the plaintiff on his motion for review.
