This action has been brought by Noel Padilla (“Noel”), Socorro Padilla (“Socorro”), Lourdes Padilla (“Lourdes”), Irene Santiago (“Santiago”) and Erling Johnson (“Johnson”) (collectively “Plaintiffs”) against five individual officers of the Chicago Police Department — Keith Herrera, Steve Del Bosque, Margaret Hopkins, Paul Zogg and Donovan Markiewicz (each referred to here by his or her last name and all collectively referred to as “Defendant Officers”) — as well as against the City of Chicago.1 Plaintiffs assert that…
