Appellees, as receivers of the German Investment and Securities Company, brought this suit against the appellant on two fidelity bonds, in which bonds, the appellant, for a consideration, agreed to indemnify said German Investment and Securities Company against loss, not exceeding $20,000 on each bond, by reason of the fraud, dishonesty, forgery, theft, embezzlement or wrongful abstraction of one George Seidensticker, called therein “the employee,” directly or in connivance with others, while the employee was engaged in the services of the employer, and while the bonds were in force.
