In 1881 William James Anderson died seized of three parcels of real estate, viz: The “Sandtown” property, the home farm whereon he lived at the time of his death, and “The Mike Smith Farm.” By the first paragraph of his will he declared that having already “ advanced ” to his son, William J. Anderson, what he considered to be his full share of his property, he left him nothing by the will; and by the second paragraph thereof he made provision intended to apply to any other of his children to whom he should thereafter make advances.
