OPINION

Robin Ann Goodson was charged, by way of information, with possession of cocaine, a controlled substance. In exchange for her guilty plea, the State agreed to recommend sentencing under the non-adjudication provisions of NRS 453.336. At the time of this incident, Ms. Goodson was eighteen years of age and had no prior record.

A routine pre-sentence report was prepared by the Department of Parole and Probation and filed with the district court. The following statements were included within this report under the heading “Supplemental Information”: “Contact with the narcotics division of…
