MEMORANDUM AND ORDER
SEAR, District Judge.
On February 9, 1991, a fire erupted in the engine room of the S/S Stonewall Jackson, killing six of the ship’s crew. The representatives of the deceased crew members filed separate actions in state court and on April 17, 1992, Waterman Steamship Corporation and AmSouth Bank filed this limitation proceeding. Petitioners filed an ad interim stipulation for value pursuant to which they stipulated with their surety, St. Paul Fire & Marine Insurance Company, that the value of the S/S Stonewall Jackson and her pending freight was $7,852,780.00.
