James L. Reiser died at the age of 18 as a result of injuries he sustained when the vehicle he was operating collided with a vehicle operated by Douglas R. Coburn at the intersection of two county roads in rural Boyd County, Nebraska. James Reiser’s father, Martin F. Reiser, as personal representative of his son’s estate, brought this action against Cobum, alleging that Cobum’s negligence caused the accident and the death of James Reiser.
