This appeal draws in question the scope of the business records exception to the hearsay rule. M.R.Evid. 803(6).

The plaintiff, Northeast Bank & Trust Co., brought an action in Superior Court (Penobscot County) on a promissory note executed in its favor by the defendants, Gilbert C. Laite, Joseph L.
