This is an action to recover the reasonable rental value of certain real premises on Herman Creek in Hood River County, Oregon. It is, perhaps, the last chapter in the history of litigation relative to this land which has been pending in the courts for several years. The property was leased for a period of five years to the State Board of Fish and Game Commissioners for salmon fish cultural purposes. This lease expired on December 31, 1919. Prior to its expiration the state, through the Fish Commissioners, instituted condemnation proceedings to acquire the land in controversy. In this action…
