GREENE, Judge.

Catholic Social Services of the Diocese of Charlotte, N.C., Inc. (petitioner) appeals from an order entered 4 August 1992, dismissing its petition to terminate the parental rights of Damon Edwards (respondent) for lack of personal jurisdiction.

The record reveals that Dionne DeShawn Dixon (Dixon) was a student at Hampton University in Hampton, Virginia in the fall of 1990 when she met the respondent, an employee in the cafeteria at the Hampton University Student Union.
