On June 1,1964, upon the complaint of one Richard Donahoo, a warrant was issued charging the defendant William Holt McIntosh, together with Marion Duane Young, with the crime of assault with intent to murder. A preliminary examination was held, and upon completion thereof on July 16, 1964, the defendant was bound over to Wayne county circuit court for trial. The trial of this matter commenced on December 7, 1964, and was completed on December 9, 1964. The jury found the defendant guilty of the lesser offense of assault with intent to do great bodily harm less than murder.
