Mrs. Effie Covington, joined by her husband, instituted this suit against the Sextet Local Mutual Aid Association of Decatur, Tex., an unincorporated mutual aid association, and against J. C. C. Gunn, its president, James W. Smith, treasurer, and E. B. Clark, secretary, who were sued as partners doing business under the name of the association, to recover the sum of $750, for the loss of the sight of one eye, claimed to be due under and by virtue of an insurance policy issued to Mrs. Covington by the association.
