This is a suit brought by appellee (plaintiff below) against appellants (defendants below), who are husband and wife, seeking a specific performance' of a written contract reading':
“This contract made and entered into this March 23, 1915, by and between Van Alexander and his wife, Lottie Darnell, parties of the first part, and J. B. Alexander, party of the second part, witnesseth, that the party of the first part has this day entered into contract with the party of the second part that they will make him a general warrantee deed to a tract of land…
