Vernell Sutherland sued her former employer, Arthur Young & Company (hereafter “Young” or “Arthur Young”), 1 seeking damages for employment discrimination in violation of the District of Columbia Human Rights Act, D.C.Code §§ 1-2501 et seq. (1992) (“DCHRA”), for retaliation against her for pressing her claim of discrimination, also in violation of the DCHRA, and for breach of contract.
