This is a consolidated appeal from two aspects of Manuel C. Alcala’s criminal sentence after he pleaded guilty to first-degree premeditated murder for killing his estranged wife. He challenges: (1) a no-contact order prohibiting communication with the victim’s family; and (2) a restitution order requiring him to pay attorney fees incurred by the victim’s mother in child in need of care (CINC) proceedings involving the couple’s children and a separate legal action'for her to adopt the children.
