Thomas D. Plotner appeals his conviction and sentence for three counts of rape of a child under the age of 14 in violation of K.S.A. 21-3502(a)(2). Prior to sentencing, he filed a motion to withdraw his plea to those charges, which was denied. The district court sentenced him on each count to life in prison with a 25-year mandatory minimum sentence under K.S.A. 21-4643, commonly known as Jessica’s Law, but ordered the sentences to run concurrently to one another.
